To submit feedback on the APC Fund, please fill out the APC Fund Feedback Form.
The NDSU Libraries' APC Fund is a pilot program to support the publishing of open access (OA) journal articles through supplemental funds. Current NDSU-affiliated faculty who wish to publish in an OA journal that does not have a Transformative Agreement/Read & Publish Agreement with the Libraries may apply for funds to reimburse* their APC** within 3 months of payment (in the same fiscal year). Funds are available on a first come, first served basis until exhausted each fall and spring semester. The amount awarded will depend on various factors.
For full details and information on how to apply for the APC Fund, see Policies and Procedures.
*Some faculty may qualify for direct payment of APCs. See Policies and Procedures.
Note: It is highly recommended that grant-funded works include a budget line for APC coverage. Including this in a grant budget does not necessarily disqualify an applicant from this fund.
**This fund only pays for article processing charges (APCs). It will not pay for editing services, translations, reprints, non-open access publishing services, open access page charges, permissions fees, web hosting for self-archiving, or other expenses not directly related to open access publishing fees.
Questions, comments, and concerns may be directed to Colleen Gordon, Scholarly Communication and Institutional Repository Librarian, at colleen.gordon@ndsu.edu or through the Feedback form to the left.
